CAF CONFEDERATION CUP CAF Appoints Tunisia Referee For Super Eagles Vs Ghana Clash

CAF has appointed Tunisian referee Sadok Selmi as the official for the Super Eagles second leg World Cup qualifier playoff against Ghana.

The appointment means that both legs of the game slated for this month will be handled by North African referees.

Selmi officiated in the Africa Cup of Nations hosted by Cameroon tagged Cameroon 2021 where he handled two group stage games.

He was in charge of the game between Morocco and Comoros which saw the Atlas Lions won 2-0 and also the game between Cape Verde and Cameroon that ended 1-1.

 

CAF had appointed Algeria’s Redouane Jiyed to handle the first leg which will be played at the Cape Coast Stadium in Ghana.

Nigeria will host the Black Stars in the return fixture of the two-legged tie on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

First leg of the tie will take place on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Cape Coast stadium before the deciding fixture four days later.

His recent officiating was the CAF Champions League game where Wydad AC came from behind to defeat Zamalek 3-1 in Casablanca.
