Celebrated South African coach Pitso Mosimane has signed a new two-year contract with Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

The CAF Champions League holders have released a statement on Wednesday confirming the contract extension.

“Al Ahly SC are delighted to announce that Pitso Mosimane has signed a contract extension with the club for two more years.

“The coach and his assistants signed the new contract, ensuring they will remain at the helm until 2024,” the statement reads.

Mosimane has been outstanding since moving from Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa to the Cairo side.

The South African has won back-to-back Champions League titles in addition to bronze medals at two consecutive Fifa Club World Cups.

The former SuperSport United mentor also won the Champions League with Sundowns a few years ago.
