Manchester United Ronaldo Historic Hat Trick Hands Man United Win Over Spurs

2Cristiano Ronaldo netted his 59th hat trick as Manchester United returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 3-2 win over Tottenham at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo who was not included in the Red Devils Manchester derby loss last weekend returned to Ralf Rangnick squad.

The Portuguese broke the deadlock in the 12th minute with an emphatic strike from outside the box following a flick from Fred.

Harry Kane drew Spurs level from the penalty spot after he was fouled by Alex Telles.

Ronaldo restored Manchester United in the 38th minute from a Jadon Sancho’s square pass heading to the first half break.

Spurs again drew level in the 72nd minute after United skipper Harry Maguire turned a Sergio Reguilon cross into his own net.

The game was heading to a stalemate when  Ronaldo scored the winning goal nine minutes from stipulated time he leaped highest to nod a corner into the top corner.

It is Ronaldo’s first hat-trick for United since January 2008 and 59th overall for club and country.

He becomes professional football’s all-time leading goalscorer with 807 goals.

United have now won exactly 400 Premier League home games, becoming the first team to reach that milestone in the competition.
