Remo Stars head coach Gbenga Ogunbote said his side does not deserve to lose after another disappointing game against Niger Tornadoes in Matchday 18 of the Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL).

The Sky Blue who enjoyed a winning streak at the beginning of the 2021-2022 NPFL season are struggling to record consecutive win in their recent games as they loss 1-0 to Tornadoes.

While Ogunbote thought his team should not have lost this time to Tornadoes, he gave a hint that the focus may have changed to retaining their place in the top flight.

It’s not an altogether surprising aim for low hanging fruit as Remo has had two stints in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) seasons apart as they always relegated each time they played in the elite league.

On the outcome of the match, Ogunbote said “We never deserved to lose this game but sometimes that is how the game goes”.

Looking ahead what the club could achieve at the end of the season, he said, “The set target is to make sure that Remo Stars sustain our premiership status”.
