“These are political awards”, Ibrahimovic said.

“They want ‘Mr Perfect’. If you speak and say what you think you can’t get them. It’s easy to give them to Mr Nice Guy. It doesn’t change anything for me, it doesn’t make me better or worse.”

Last year, Ibra said the fact that he did not win the Ballon d’Or does not depend on him.

“Why have I never won the Ballon d’Or? I don’t know, it’s not up to me. I play football…”, he said.

“It depends on how other people see it.

“It’s not something that stops me. Of course, it would have been nice to win the Champions League or the Ballon d’Or, but that doesn’t change my career or my individual quality.

“I had the chance to play with great players and in great teams. And then I won something.”
