CAF Champions League CAF Champions League Quarter Final Draws To Take Place On Tuesday

The draws for the quarter final of this season TotalEnergies CAF Champion League will take the centre stage on Tuesday.

The group stage were completed on Sunday after reigning champions, Al Ahly picked the last ticket after the win over Al Hilal.

The draws will see all the group leaders in pot A while the second team’s will be placed in pot B.

No same team in the group stage will be paired against each other in the draws.

Pot A teams are ; Mamelodi Sundowns, Raja Club Athletic, Esperance du Tunis, Wydad Athletic Club.

Pot B teams are: Al Ahly, ES Setif, CR Belouizdad, Petro de Luanda.

Meanwhile following the completion of thr e group stage, CAFonline.com released the statistics of thr group stage.

Here are the group stage statistics:

21 – There were 21 goals scored in the sixth and final round of the group phase, the second highest at this stage after round five which saw 25 goals scored.

Morocco’s Wydad Club Athletic were the highest scorers, hitting five goals past Petro de Luanda in Casablanca. The match pitting Zamalek and Sagrada Espranca was the only one that didn’t have goals.

4 – There were only four clean sheets kept in this round of fixtures.

15 – The highest number of goals scored by one team in the group phase, Wydad Club Athletic.

2 – The least number of goals conceded by the meanest defences in the group phase; Mamelodi Sundowns, Raja Club Athletic and Esperance.

2 – Only two teams finished the group phase without tasting defeat; Mamelodi Sundowns and Esperance

16 – The highest number of points accumulated by one team; Mamelodi Sundowns.

3 – The number of teams which finished the group phase without victory; Zamalek, Sagrada Esperanca and Jwaneng Galaxy.
