Europa League Iheanacho, Lookman In Action As Leicester Progress To ECL Semis

Leicester, led by Kelechi Iheanacho and Ademola Lookman, battled back from a goal down to beat PSV 2-1 and advance to the UEFA Conference League semi-finals on Thursday night.

Leicester City has earned a place in their first European semi-final.

Lookman, who had a hand in Leicester’s winner, came on for Harvey Barnes before the start of the second half.

Iheanacho was in the starting eleven before going off on 65 minutes.
After a scoreless first leg, PSV seized the lead in the second leg thanks to Eran Zahavi’s goal in the 27th minute.

In the 77th minute, Leicester equalised through James Maddison, who scored from 10 yards after receiving a cutback pass from Ayoze Pérez.

With two minutes remaining, Leicester’s Ricardo Pereira scored the game-winning goal.

Lookman surged into the area, finding Patson Daka whose effort was blocked by the PSV goalkeeper, but the ball dropped to Ricardo, who slammed it home.

In the semi-finals, Leicester will face the AS Roma who defeated  Bodo/Glimt .
