Former Chelsea midfielder, Frank Lampard named a former African player who according to him is at the level of the greatest in history like Thierry Henry (all-time Arsenal to scorer, 228) and Wayne Rooney (all-time an United history to scorer, 253).

Speaking to American media ESPN, Lampard was full of praise for Didier Drogba, his former teammate at Chelsea.

Lampard and Drogba enjoyed eight years (2004-2012) at the Stamford Bridge wearing the Blues outfit and he knows well how strong the Ivorian was.

“He was an absolute hero for Chelsea” Frank Lampard said.

“People talk about (Thierry) Henry, (Wayne) Rooney and other great strikers, but Drogba is right up there, he’s on their level.

“He’s one of the people who score in the final and in the big games he’s right up there.”

Didier Drogba who is to date the best foreign scorer in the history (164 achievements) of Chelsea which he helped to win his first Champions League in 2012.
