Arsenal Rangnick Confirms Ronaldo, Varane, McTominay For Arsenal Game

Manchester United’s squad should be bolstered ahead of Saturday’s Premier League match against Arsenal.

In midweek, a depleted Reds side was defeated by Liverpool, while Arsenal won 4-2 at Chelsea, making the early kick-off a must-win game for Ralf Rangnick’s side if they are to keep their top-four hopes alive.

However, there is a chance that some of United’s absentees will return for the Emirates Stadium match, which will provide an opportunity to avenge the Anfield defeat.

Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay, and Cristiano Ronaldo have all returned to Carrington this week for training.

However, Paul Pobga suffered a calf injury early in the defeat on Merseyside and will almost certainly miss out, while Luke Shaw and Edinson Cavani figure to be still out.

Fred has also been injured, leaving the Reds with a hole in the middle.

Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick in his pre-match conference confirmed the return of the players

Scott McTominay will be back and fit to play,” confirmed Rangnick in his pre-match press conference, after the Scotland international was an unused substitute against Liverpool.

He has been training with us and will train today, so he will be available for the game tomorrow.

“The same is true with Rapha Varane and, obviously, Cristiano is available again.”

Pogba looks unlikely to play again this term as an update was provided on the France international.

With Paul, it seems, after the scan we did yesterday or the day before yesterday, it’s very unlikely that he will play until the end of the season again.

The doctor told me that it will take four weeks, minimum, for him to recover and, since the last game is at the end of May, I don’t think it’s very likely that he will be able to play again.”
