With a 3-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund on Saturday night, Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga for the 10th consecutive season.

Bayern Munich returned Lucas Hernandez and Kingsley Coman after their 3-0 win against Arminia Bielefeld, while Dortmund were without defender Mats Hummel due to injury.

Serge Gnabry brought a loose ball on the outskirts of the box under control and past goalkeeper Marwin Hitz with a powerful strike, giving the hosts a 15-minute lead.

Dortmund had a good chance to equalise minutes later when Julian Brandt played a through ball to Erling Braut Haaland, who went free and opened an angle but shot wide.

Bayern appeared to have taken a two-goal lead shortly before the halftime break when Gnabry scored off a mishandled ball from an unmarked position, but the offside flag was raised.

Even so, ten minutes before halftime, the Bavarians extended their lead when Robert Lewandowski scored off a wayward pass from Thomas Muller after a bad clearance from Dan-Axel Zagadou.

Dortmund cut the lead from the penalty spot five minutes into the second half when Emre Can sent Manuel Neuer the wrong way following a foul on Marco Reus by Joshua Kimmich.

Minutes apart, the Black and Yellow were provided with another golden opportunity when Haaland’s ball into space found Reus, who was unable to beat Neuer.

With Jamal Musiala replacing Gnabry, the Bavarians recovered control of the game in the closing stages, and Lewandowski’s close-range shot was stopped by Hitz.

After Hitz failed to hang onto his original shot, Bayern put the game to bed seven minutes from time when Musiala scored off a rebound in the area.

The Bavarians dominated the last minutes and won the game as well as the league title for the tenth time in a row.
