Nigeria NPFL: Akwa United Resurgence Continues As Rangers Thrash kwara

Actions continued in the Nigeria Professional Football League with three games played on Sunday in Matchday 25 across various venue.

Six goals was scored in three games.

Akwa United continued their resurgence under Deji Ayeni as they picked their third consecutive win.

Babatunde Bello scored the lone goal of the game in the 39th minute to hand the reigning NPFL champions a vital win.

The victory took Akwa United to 9th on the league table.

Rangers defeated Kwara United 3-0 on Sunday in Nigerian professional football, keeping their Champions League ambitions alive (NPFL).

The Flying Antelopes dominated the first 18 minutes, scoring all three goals.

Rangers took the lead in the fourth minute when Ossy Martins scored, and Chidiebere Nwobodo added the second seven minutes later.

Martins scored his third goal in the 18th minute.

Enugu is in third place on the log with 41 points from 25 games.

In the Pantami Stadium, Gombe United defeated Katsina United 1-0.

Abdulazeez Yusuf scored the game-winning goal for the hosts after only six minutes.
