Abaka Otimi who is a rider of the Nigerian Team taking part in to the “Tour du Benin 2022” has revealed his goals in the international cycling competition.
Otimi has not rode for about a year and is now back on the bicycle again to relaunch his career.
The Super Eagle was part of the first group as the Tour started on Tuesday morning from Boukoumbe to Djoukou which are separate by 124 miles.

However, he fell on the road and could not continue with the other cyclists as he was compelled to wait for the seocnd group.
Speaking to Africa Top Sports’ Franck Orocoti, Abaka Otimi said : “Riding with big teams like South Africa, Morocco and the Europeans was a Big challenge.”
“I was in the first group, but after the first six kilometers, I was dropped out. So I waited until the second group come. It was a fantastic experience though.”
“My ambition is to come up of the competition because I’ve not been racing for about a year now. So coming here is to build up and see where my sprint can take me to”, he added.
In addition, Belgian cyclist Bjorn De Decker wont the first stage. He was followed by Cameroonian Clovis Kamzong and Moroccan Adil El Arbaoui closed the Top 3.
