Nigeria Flying Eagles Defeats Niger Club 4-0 In Friendly Ahead WAFU B Tourney

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles defeated Olympic Niamey 4-0 in a friendly game lat the Stade Municipal.

Muhammed Aminu and Ibrahim Yahaya of Gombe United scored the first two goals for the Flying Eagles.

Ahmed Abdullahi scored the third goal, and Muhammed Beji added the icing on the cake with the fourth.

It should be noted that Ladan Bosso’s team defeated Niger Republic 1-0 in a warm-up game on Monday in Niamey.

Both teams had a scoreless draw in their first meeting at the same venue last Friday.

The matches were scheduled to get the team in shape for the WAFU B U-20 qualifiers, which begin on May 7 in Niger.

The Flying Eagles will begin their qualifying campaign against defending champions Ghana on May 8.

Burkina Faso is the second team in Group B.

In the previous edition of the competition, the Flying Eagles did not advance past the group stage.

The competition’s two finalists will advance to the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Egypt in 2023.
