Chelsea Football Club have disclosed that a new ownership group led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter, and Hansjoerg Wyss has reached an agreement to buy the club.

The club in a statement announced that  £2.5 billion of the overall investment will be used to buy the Club’s shares, with the revenues going into a frozen UK bank account with the goal of donating 100% to philanthropic organisations, according to Roman Abramovich.

The sale is expected to complete in late May subject to all necessary regulatory approvals.
