Ghana CK Akonnor vows to tell everything he “wasn’t happy with” during his Black Stars coaching job

Former Ghana head coach Charles Kwablan ‘CK’ Akonnor has promised to tell the truth about things which were not going well during his Black Stars coaching job in a book.

The former Kotoko manager was appointed Black Stars coach in January 2020 in replacement of Kwesi Appiah but was fired in September 2021 after just ten games.

The ex-Sekondi Warriors gaffer won four games, lost four and drew two during his sepll at the helm of the Ghana national team.

However, it seems everything was not ok when he was in charge of the team.

Without revealing them, CK Akonnor who admitted he was not happy, vowed to tell the truth in a book in the future.

“I still support the Black Stars. I’m a Ghanaian. I love my country. I was once the coach [and] it didn’t go well. It doesn’t mean anything. I am just not too happy with certain things but my love for my country still goes on,” he told 3Sports.

“There were things that I wasn’t happy with. I don’t like excuses but I love my country and I will support [them]. It’s been a long story, a long journey but one day it [the problems] will come to an end. One day [I will tell the story], maybe in a book.”
