CAF Champions League Berkane Coach Expects Difficult Game Against Pirates In Caf CC Final

RS Berkane coach Florent Ibenge says they are capable of winning the TotalEnergies 2022 CAF Confederation Cup title even though their opponents in tonight’s final Orlando Pirates will no be no pushovers.

Ibenge, who is a former national team coach of DR Congo, says his focus is to help his players regain their strength after a gruelling semi-final clash with DR Congo side TP Mazembe 4-2 on aggregate a few days.

The coach however admitted that a difficult match awaits them after monitoring the style of play of Orlando Pirates.

The preparations (for the match) were only to restore physical strength, after the TP Mazembe match.” Ibenge said at the pre-match press conference in Uyo on Thursday.

We did well to read the game against TP Mazembe. And we avoided rushing and tried to tire the opponent’s players, and this paid off.

“For this match we have reviewed tapes of the Orlando Pirates team in order to study the strengths and weaknesses of the South African team.

“We hope that the stadium will be filled with local fans to give us strength and encourage us to play more.” Said Ibenge.
