Organisers of Nigeria’s elite division, the League Management Company (LMC) have announced the cancellation of the registration of Remo Stars duo Andy Okpe and Isah Ali.

Both players were named in a betting scandal in Ghana of recent.

The LMC in a memo signed by the Chief Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar sent to the club said, the club failed to provide critical information about the players status.

The memo titled: Cancellation Of Players Registration Isah Ali and Andy Okpe reads;

“We have conducted a review of players registration document and discovered
that at the point of registering the above-name players you failed to provide
CRITICAL information about their status.
Consequently, their registration is hereby cancelled and they are immediately
disqualified from participating in the NPFL.

“You are hereby invited for a meeting at your convenience for further clarifications.”
