Africa Soccer Zambian Mwepu celebrates Brighton journey that seemed impossible

Zambian winger Enock Mwepu has rated his debut Premier League season highly saying he had achieved what seemed impossible playing for Brighton and Hove Albion in England.

“@premierleague debut. A journey that seemed impossible has become possible. Thanks to all the Coaching staff,The Physio’s who worked with me during rehab ,the fans, friends and my family  for supporting me and the team through out the season,” he tweeted.

The former Red Bull Salzburg player capped up his season by winning the Goal of

the Season Award for the Seagulls following his stunning strike in the game against Liverpool.

He played a key role for Brighton as they finished on position nine on the log table scoring and providing assists.

The Zambian winger signed for Brighton around the same time striker Patson Daka moved to Leicester City where he has also showed promise as Jamie Vardy’s understudy.

Mwepu, Daka and Fashion Sakala of Rangers are among top players for Zambia and more will be expected from them going into the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
