Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane sent words of praise to his countryman and CAF Champions League final referee Victor Gomes.
The Reds will be eyeing their third consecutive title while Wydad will be aiming to collect their first Champions League trophy since 2017.
Wydad will have an advantage going into the final as they will have the luxury of playing at home as CAF chose the Mohammed V Stadium as the hosting venue.

Ahead of the final, CAF appointed South African referee Victor Gomes to officiate the clash, set to take place on Monday, May 30.
Few days ahead of the awaited game, Mosimane sent words of praise to his countryman as he believes he’s the best referee on the Black continent.
“How I used to criticise Victor Gomes, at my humble pie long time back and I am his biggest fan and he knows that.” Mosimane tweeted.
“I give him the respect that he deserves. And he is currently No1 Referee in the Continent.
“Just finished watching the Wydad vs A Petro Luyanda. The manner at which he managed the game, players, and the dugouts. Just like he managed Senegal vs Egypt.
“Can we give him the honour of Ikhamanga? Please include Zakhele Siwela.” Added
