Malawi Super League Nyasa Big Bullets thrash Silver Strikers to open 4-point gap over Eagles

Nyasa Big Bullets thrashed Silver Strikers 3-1 on Saturday to go four points clear at the summit of the TNM Super League log table.

Bullets got the business done in the first half when Babatunde Adepoju scored a double with Patrick Mwaungulu netting the other one at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

Striker Stain Davie grabbed Silver’s consolation goal for the team to remain on fifth place with 16 points.

Mwaungulu scored via a brilliant freekick barely after two minutes when he curled his shot away from the reach of Silver keeper Charles Thom.

Nigerian Adepoju added the second goal 15 minutes later when he connected Mwaungulu’s cross.

Adepoju bagged his second goal of the game five minutes later from the penalty spot following a handball by a Silver player.

Davie provided the lone reply on the dot of full time for Silver whose Zambian coach Dan Kabwe should be afraid of his future with the Reserve Bank of Malawi sponsored side.
