Nigeria We Appointed The Right Coach To Restore Super Eagles Glory-Pinnick

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Mr Amaju Pinnick President Amaju said he was confident they appointed Jose Peseiro who is the right man.

The Portuguese first game in charge of the Super Eagles ended in a 2-1 loss to Mexico in an international friendly.

Peseiro who took over from interim head coach, Augustine Eguavoen was seen as the best man for the job after the NFF and the Ministey of Sports unanimously appointed Peseiro.

Amaju while speaking with newsmen after the game against Mexico hyped Peseiro as they man that would restore the glory of the Super Eagles.

He said: “I like what I saw today and I have confidence that we have appointed the right coach that can restore the glory of the Super Eagles and make them start winning once more.”

On the performance of the Super Eagles, the NFF boss he was happy also with the performance .

I am happy with what we put up out there.

It was the first time after the disappointment of the World Cup playoff and you can say this is a makeshift team, while Mexico had their full-strength squad out there.

Nigeria will play Ecuador in their second international friendly .
