Al Ahly have said they will not convene a meeting to table the 2-0  CAF Champions League final loss to Wydad Casablanca on Sunday.

There were fears that such a loss coud put the job of the players and coach Pitso Mosimane at risk.

However, Al Ahly have issued a statement that such a meeting will not take place at least for now.

“The club’s board of directors will not hold any meetings to discuss any files related to Al Ahly’s football first team,” reads the statement.

Mosimane has since attributed the loss to CAF insistence that the final be played at Wydad home instead of a neutral venue.

“The better team was the one who lost tonight. When you play in a neutral ground and equal fan attendance from both sides then you can speak about winning or losing. I think everyone who took this decision are happy now,” he said.
