Friendly Super Eagles To Train On Wednesday Ahead Of Ecuador Game

The Super Eagles will hold their final training session inside the Red Bull Arena on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. local time (11:30 p.m. Nigerian time) ahead of their international friendly match against Ecuador.

Babafemi Raji, the Super Eagles’ media officer, confirmed this.

According to Raji, Peseiro will hold a press conference at 6 p.m. before the team’s final training session, which will be open to the media for the first 20 minutes (11pm Nigerian time).

Ecuador’s head coach Gustavo Alfaro will address the media at 9:30 p.m., followed by his team’s final training session at 10 p.m., both at the Red Bull Arena.

The first 20 minutes will also be available to the media.

The match between the Super Eagles and Ecuador will begin at 1:30 a.m. on Friday, June 3. (early hours in Nigeria).

Both coaches and selected players from both sides will participate in a post-game press conference following the game.

In their first friendly, the Eagles were defeated 2-1 by Mexico, with Cyriel Dessers scoring his first international goal.

Meanwhile, the acquisition of Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis has given the Super Eagles a boost.

However, due to a calf injury, Rangers defender Leon Balogun has been ruled out of the encounter against Ecuador.

After recovering from his injury, Balogun was anticipated to rejoin his colleagues in New Jersey.

The winner of the Scottish Cup will now join the team in Abuja for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone and Mauritius this weekend.
