The Nigeria Golden Eaglets head coach, Lucky Ugbade, said the objective of the team is o earn a ticket to the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Golden Eaglets will begin their quest for gold when they take on host nation Ghana in the opening match of the WAFU B U-17 Championship on Saturday.

The opening game is scheduled to kick off at 5 pm Nigeria time at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Golden Eaglets technical adviser Lucky Ugbade speaking ahead of the game told CAFonline.com that he is happy with the squad.

 “I am happy with the squad that we have been able to come up with, and I can say confidently that we are in Ghana to make the nation proud.

 “Our primary objective is to earn a ticket to the Africa Cup of Nations, and then we go full throttle for the trophy.

“Nigeria has a pedigree in U-17 football and we cannot afford to disappoint.
