Benin WAFU B U-17: Benin Bounce Back To Defeat Cote d’Ivoire

The Young Squirrels of Benin bounced back from a goal deficit to claim a 3-2 victory against the Young Elephants of Cote d’ Ivoire in the WAFU B U-17 tournament.

Water n Republic and Ivory Coast slugged it out at the Cape Coast Stadium, Ghana in the second game of the WAFU B U-17 tournament being hosted by Ghana.

The Yan Diamante gave the Young Elephant the lead just 11 minutes of play from a set piece.

The Young Squirrels equalized before half time then went ahead to complete the comeback.

They came close to increasing the score following an error by the opposing goalkeeper, unfortunately the Beninese shot escapes the frame.

After failing to take their chances, the Young Squirrels were made to pay as Cote d’Ivoire leveled.

With the game almost ending, the Benin U-17 boys restored their lead and claimed the maximum three point.
