Egyptian Giants Al Ahly surprisingly announced on Monday to have parted ways with Pitso Mosimane, which was sensational to the football world.
However, in an Al Ahly statement, it’s clear the Egyptian giants were happy to have Mosimane continue in his role. But it was in fact the 57-year-old South African tactician who requested his release.
Pitso Mosimane was quoted as saying he was “satisfied with the achievements he managed to accomplish with the club”.

Although many expected that Mosimane’s departure would spell the end for Percy Tau at Al Ahly, this may not be the case after all.
“Tau’s agent confirmed that the player is committed to his contract with the team.” Former Al Ahly star Ahmed ShobeirShobeir said, according to KingFut.
“Tau will not leave Al Ahly. He’s a high-quality player. And the club has no intention of selling him.” The statement continued.
Mosimane who urged Percy Tau to move from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion to Al Ahly in August 2021, left him behind in Egypt.

Tau’s time in Egypt helped the Bafana Bafana international to score just eight goals in 26 matches in all competitions for Al Ahly in a league they dominate.
