Ghana WAFU B U-17: Ghana Crush Togo To Book Semi Finals Ticket

After crushing Togo 3-0 in their final Group A match at the Cape Coast stadium on Friday, the host Black Starlets of Ghana have advanced to the 2022 U-17 WAFU B semifinals.

With the victory, Ghana and the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria from Group A have both advanced to the semifinals.

On the heels of losses to the Golden Eaglets, both Ghana and Togo entered the game on Friday.

Togo fell 3-1, while Ghana was defeated 4-2 by the Eaglets in the tournament’s opening match.

However, with the easy victory brought on by goals from Pius Adua, Collins Agyemang, and Abdul Razak Salifu, the Ghanaians ultimately chose the second semi-final ticket.

On Saturday, the Benin Republic will face Niger Republic, and the Ivory Coast will compete Burkina Faso.

Ghana will compete against the group winner, while the Golden Eaglets will face the group’s runner-up.

For the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Algeria, the WAFU B Championship acts as a qualifying tournament.
