South Africa AWCON 2022: Ellis Downsizes Number Of Players To 26

Prior to the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis cut five players from the team’s training camp.

Ellis initially called up 33 players for the selection and training camp, but the team has now been reduced to to 26 players in readiness for Monday’s announcement of the final lineup.

The entrance of the players with international bases has also helped the training camp.

Linda Motlhalo (Djurgardens,Sweden) and Hildah Magaia (Sejong Sportstoto,South Korea) are yet to join the team as their seasons are still in Full swing.
