Malawi Super League Big Bullets wallop toothless Tigers to go seven points clear

Holders Nyasa Big Bullets walloped Waka Waka Tigers 5-0 on Saturday afternoon in Blantyre to go seven points clear at the TNM Super League log table.

Precious Sambani headed Bullets in front after six minutes before Nigerian striker Babatunde Adepoju and Patrick Mwaungulu added the second and third goals in the 35th and 45th minutes.

The first-round game took place at Kamuzu Stadium where striker Lanjesi Nkhoma scored two more goals inside three minutes to seal the win.

Bullets took their tally to 35 points from 13 games, leaving in their wake second-placed Blue Eagles who were not in action on Saturday.

Tigers are on position 11 with 15 points from nine games and remain winless in four consecutive games after also going down to rookies Sable Farming in a midweek fixture.
