Africa Soccer Zambia’s Copper Queens to face Morocco in pre-AWCON match

Zambia senior women’s national football team will play against Morocco on Saturday evening in a warm-up match.

The Copper Queens are preparing for the 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) scheduled for Morocco next month.

Football Association of Zambia says the match will kick-off at 9pm Central African time.

The game will take place at the Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex and will be streamed live on Facebook.

Zambia coach Bruce Mwape is expected to name a strong side for tonight’s assignment.

Mwape is spoilt for choice as he has at his disposal star players such as Hazel Nali, Barbara Banda, Margaret Belemu, Agness Musesa, Lushomo Mweemba, Martha Tembo and Grace Chanda.

Zambia expect to play three strength testing matches ahead of the AWCON’s kick off.

The continental football showpiece will run from July 2 to 23 in Rabat and Casablanca.

Zambia are in Group B alongside Cameroon, Tunisia and Togo.
