Africa Soccer Ivory Coast international Emmanuel Agbadou joins Reims

Ivory Coast international Emmanuel Agbadou has joined Stade de Reims in French Ligue 1.

The solid central defender has joined Reims on a five-year contract from KAS Eupen in Belgium.

Agbadou was voted best player of the season for his club.

Former KAS Eupen sporting director Jordi Condom once praised the defender.

“He’s tough and he’s got good technique. He’s versatile and can play in almost any defensive position and as a defensive midfielder,” he said.

It took him two seasons in Europe to win unanimous support.

Reims says the 24-year-old won praises while in the second year in the Belgian championship.

He played 33 out of 34 games for the Belgian side last season.

He played for US Monastir in Tunisia two years ago before moving to Belgium.
