Uganda women’s national football team coach George Lutalo has named three captains for the Crested Cranes.

Lutalo has named Ruth Aturo, Hasifah Nassuna and  Daisy Nakaziro as captains for the team ahead of participation in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The coach released the roaster for the captains before the team’s departure for Morocco.

Lutalo has maintained Aturo as the first team captain a role she has held since 2019.

Lutalo has since declared his team ready for WAFCON.

“We had smooth preparations since last year. We played COSAFA and recently CECAFA where the team emerged Champions. I believe these tournaments have helped us to get the Skelton of the team and I’m confident the final squad named will help us attain the set targets,” he told Uganda FA website.

Uganda are in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Burkina Faso and Senegal.
