Egyptian Premier League side Al Ahly are believed to have reached an agreement with their next coach after South African manager Pitso Mosimane has left his post.
Following the departure of the former Mamelodi Sundowns’ manager, the Red Devils decide to hire Ehab Galal as his replacement.
However, he did not last long sitting on Al Ahly’s bench due to the poor results. And now the club is on the verge of announcing a new coach who is a Portuguese.
According to Portuguese outlet Abola, Al Ahly reached an agreement with Ricardo Soares to become their next head coach.
Further claimed that a two-year contract is awaiting him in Cairo where he is expected to land job from July 1.
The 47-year who is currently in charge of Gil Vicente in his home country has never coached a team in Africa.
Al Ahly will be his first experience in the continent and he should get ready as the challenge is heavy.
