Africa Soccer CAF inspectors to assess Mozambique home venue

CAF inspectors are in Maputo, Mozambique, to assess match venues for the Mambas ahead of the African Nations Championship matches.

Mozambique Football Federation reports that South African Joshua Knipp is leading the delegation of the inspectors.

The inspectors were specifically expected to assess Estádio Nacional do Zimpeto on Wednesday.

After completion of the inspection, the governing body of continental football will decide, in a specific report, on the approval of that infrastructure,” Mozambique FA says.

Mambas are keeping fingers crossed that the venue should pass the test so that the Mambas should host Zambia at the stadium on the weekend of July 22.

The second leg of the CHAN qualifiers will take place on the weekend of 26 July.
