CAF Champions League EFA Names Egypt’s Representatives In 2022/23 African Competitions

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) revealed the method they will use to choose qualifying teams for the 2022/23 CAF interclub competitions.

The Confederation of African Football, CAF announced a few days ago that the member associations should submit the list of their representatives in the African competitions before the end of July.

This will not be easy for EFA as the Egyptian Premier League season will not be over by then.

As a result, the EFA announced they will be choosing the competing teams according to their first half of the season results.

Thus Al Ahly and Zamalek will be playing in the next season of the CAF Champions League as first place and second place. And Pyramids will be competing in the CAF Confederation Cup as third place on the league table.

Pyramids will be accompanied by Second-Division’s Petrojet if they win the last year’s ongoing Egypt Cup. If Petrojet are knocked out, fourth place Future will be participating in the Confederation Cup instead.
