FIFA U20 WORLD CUP FIFA Send Congratulatory Message To Danny Jordaan On His SAFA Re-Election

Danny Jordaan was easily re-elected at the head South African Football Association (SAFA) for a thirm term last week. And the World football governing body FIFA have congratulated the SAFA newly re-elected president for his success.

Jordaan overcame competition from Ria Ledwaba and Solly Mohlabeng to keep his seat during the SAFA Elective Congress held last weekend.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino was among those to congratulate the 70-year-old on his victory which saw him emerge on top after earning 186 votes to Ledwaba’s 27 and Mohlabeng’s eight.

Please accept my warmest greetings and sincerest congratulations for your recent re-election as President of the South African Football Association (SAFA).” Infantino said.

I also seize the opportunity to thank you for all your efforts, your work and your important contribution to the development of our sport and the promotion of its values in South Africa.

“Sending you and your team my best wishes for this new mandate and every success for all the challenges that lie ahead, I look forward, dear President, to continuing to work with you for the growth and prosperity of football in South Africa in the years to come.” Continued the statement.
