Africa Soccer Impressive Smouha stun coachless Al Ahly

Al Ahly’s hopes of catching up with Egyptian Premier League leaders Zamalek suffered a blow after losing 3-2 to Smouha on Wednesday evening at Alexandria Stadium.

Interim Al Ahly coach Sami Komsan replaced Ramy Rabia with Hussein El Shahat at the start of the second half.

However, it was the hosts who added more goals with Marwan Hamdy scoring the third goal for Smouha in the 46th minute.

Taher Mohamed pulled one back for the deposed CAF Champions League champions in the 59th minute.

Hassan scored Al Ahly’s second goal in the 94th minute after receiving a cross from Walid Soliman.
