Nigeria NPFL: Kano Pillars Appoints Former NFF Boss As Club Chairman

Ibrahim Galadima has been named the acting chairman of Kano Pillars, the club has announced.

Surajo Shuaibu Jambul, who was recently fired by the state government, would be succeeded in the position by Galadima.

During the rescheduled week 31 match between Pillars and Dakkada FC in Kano, Jambul recently attacked an assistant referee, which is likely why he was fired.

As Kano Pillars is facing more competition in National Premier League (NPL) it will be good to have leadership that could perfectly lead the Club.”

Ibrahim Galadima, Chairman of Kano State Sports Commission, will now replace the current Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Surajo Shu’aibu Yahaya, in an acting capacity, before the appointment of a substantive Chairman,” governor Ganduje reveals.

The appointment is with immediate effect.”

Galadima served as the Nigeria Football Federation’s previous chairman.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development will receive the 10-Year Football Development Masterplan’s blueprint from the Presidential Committee, whose chairman he is.
