Egyptian Premier League side Al Ahly announced the appointment of Portuguese manager Ricardo Soares as their new head coach in replacement of Pitso Mosimane.
The wait is now over. The Red Devils have a new coach after days in trouble since South African gaffer Mosimane decided to leave his job.
Al Ahly announced the news on Thursday morning on their social media accounts.
“He is here. Welcome Ricardo Soares”, the Cairo-based outfit wrote.

According to several local reports, Ricardo Soares will pen down a two-year contract with Al Ahly.
The 47-year old parted ways with Gil Vicente on Tuesday, has arrived in Egypt earlier on Wednesday morning.
In addition, it is believed that Ricardo Soares will earn a €1.5m salary per season while he decided himself to pay Gil Vicente a €250 000 fee for them to release him.
