Senegal secured a spot in the second round of Women’s Africa Cup of Nations as the Teranga Lionesses defeated the Women’s Stallions of Burkina Faso at the Moullay Abdellah Sports Complex this Tuesday.

Neither side was able to find the breakthrough in the first 45 minutes. However the Senegalese substitute Korka Fall gave the victory to her side on penalty in 84th minutes.

For the first time in their history, Senegal managed past the group stage. The Lionnesses top group A with maximum points in two games while awaiting the result of the other group match between hosts Morocco and Uganda.
