And they succeeded in opening the scoring in the 28th minute as Cameroon goalkeeper Ange Bawou fouled Togo star Odette Gningtegma in the penalty area.
After a VAR check, the referee awarded them a penalty which was transformed by Yzeure forward Mafille Woedikou.
However, the Togolese side missed focus and conceded the equalizer in the 38th minute thanks to Estelle Johnson.
It’s a stalemate after the first half and the team which want to win will have to do more in the second stanza.
