Egypt Egyptian League Cup : Future FC Lift The Trophy Of The First Edition

On Thursday, newly-promoted Future FC made history by winning the Egyptian League Cup in the tournament’s first edition when they took on Ghazl El-Mahalla.

They started the game on the front foot and took the lead after 32 minutes thanks to an achievement from Al Ahly loanee Karim Nedved.

Mohamed Farouk made a darting run down the right-hand side before providing a cross for a free Nedved at the far post who headed home Future’s opening goal.

They managed to double their lead four minutes later with Saad Samir guiding the ball into the back of the net with a well-placed shot at the edge of the penalty area.

Farouk was on the scene again for Future as he combined with Ahmed Refaat, who squared the ball to Ahmed Atef to finish a sublime team effort and score a third goal at the hour mark.

Another goal followed four minutes later as Future attacked on the counter with Refaat providing his second assist of the game for Farouk who tapped home for 4-0.
