Super Falcons forward Monday Gift is delighted to have made her senior national debut for the team at the WAFCON 2022.

Gift was in action as the Super Falcons claimed their first victory against Botswana.

The Bayelsa Queens player was voted as the Nigeria Women Football League(NWFL) player of the Super Six tournament and bed player.

The NWFL stars described her senior national debut game as a dream come true and said she is focused on helping the team win their last Group C game against Burundi.

“It is a true blessing and honour to have made my dreamed #WAFCON2022 debut with #TeamNigeria. 

“To have played a part in our first win of the tournament is special and a great moment for my budding career.

“Now, I’m focused on the task ahead to do” proud against Burundi #GM2.

Gift and her Super Falcons teammates would be hoping to pick the remaining Group C knockout ticket on Sunday.

Nigeria are the reigning champions and are aiming to win the WAFCON title for a record ten times.
