Africa Soccer WAFCON 2022: South Africa, Zambia players, Morocco, Nigeria players dominate group stage best XI

Nigeria, Zambia, Morocco and South Africa have contributed two players each to the group stage best XI for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament underway in Morocco.

Banyana Banyana have contributed to the squad goalkeeper Andile Dlamini and midfielder Refiloe Jane whereas defender Lushombo Mweemba and midfielder Grace Chanda have made it from Zambia.

Nigeria’s standout players named in the team are centreback Osinachi Ohale and striker Rasheedat Ajibade.

Morocco are represented on the list by defender Zineb Redouan and midfielder Ghizlane.

The rest of the best named in the starting XI are one player each drawn from Botswana, Cameroon and Tunisia.

CAF Technical Study Group assessed the players based on their individual brilliance and overall contribution to their respective teams’ success.
