Cameroon WAFCON 2022: Nigeria, Cameroon Settle For Draw In First Half

Nigeria and Cameroon head to the first half of the WAFCON 2022 Quarter finals goalless in a keenly contested game between both teams.

The first half lived up to the hyping the game had received behfore kick off as both teams are regarded as the strong house of Africa women football.

However, the nine-time champions, Nigeria have dominated possessions with Rasheedat Ajibade and Blessing Onumonu keeping the Indomitable Lioness defence line on their guard.

An ambitious effort from Ayinde followed by Ucheibe strike both almost saw the Falcons take the lead.

Nigeria will have to do enough to stop a repetition of their opening game when they returned and conceded 2-0 goals against the Banyana Banyana of South Africa.

For the Cameroonian, they need to up their games and come out attacking if they want to get the WAFCON semi final and FIFA 2023 Women’s World Cup ticket.
