Super Falcons defender Osinachi Ohale claims she and her colleagues are aware of the stakes in today’s WAFCON 2022 game against Cameroon.

The winner of the game between the Falcons and Cameroon in the WAFCON’s round of eight will automatically qualify for the FIFA women’s world cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2019.

Due to their first-ever World Cup participation, Zambia and Morocco achieved history on Wednesday.

The Falcons have improved since their rocky beginning and will now try to secure another World Cup qualifying.

The current African champions are aware of how crucial the match against Cameroon is, according to Ohale, who spoke at the press conference on Wednesday.

“Going into the game against Cameroon it’s a serious game for us and we know what is at stake.

“The World Cup ticket is at stake and very important so we are going to approach the game with all seriousness.”

Ohale praised her teammates for supporting her in winning the award after being awarded Woman of the Match in the 4-0 victory over Burundi.

She added:”Winning the woman of the game meant so much to me and I must say my teammates really gave me that reward because they compliment my effort.“
