Banyana To Celebrate WAFCON Triumph With President Ramaphosa

Banyana Banyana are coming back home on Tuesday, 26 July 2022 after winning South Africa’s first ever Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Led by Coach Desiree Ellis, the Banyana Banyana team will present the historic WAFCON trophy to President Cyril Ramaphosa on Wednesday, 27 July 2022.

The President’s celebration with Banyana Banyana will take place at Union Buildings scheduled for 12h00 local.

Soth Africa beat Morocco 2-1 at the 2022 WAFCON finals that took place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on Saturday, 23 July 2022 in Morocco.
