Ghana Former Burkina Faso Coach Set To Land At Asante Kotoko

Ghana Premier League side, Kumasi Asante Kotoko are set to apointed former Burkina Faso coach, Kamou Malo. 

Report from Kumasi-based Pure FM claims that Kumasi Asante Kotoko are willing to pay $6000 to Malo as a monthly salary.

Head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum who led the club to a Ghana Premier League glory has indicated he wants to terminate his contract with the club.

Though  the club’s board of directors held a meeting to convince the coach to stay, the former WAFA head trainer maintained that he cannot work with the club due to the treatment of the management led by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Malo, who led the Stallions of Burkina Faso to place 4th in the last Africa Cup of Nation [AFCON] edition is a police officer by profession.

It is unknown if the 12-member board of directors will approve the request of the management to hire a new coach ahead of the new Ghana football season set to kick off in September.

With the club representing the country in the 2022/23 CAF Champions League, Malo, who is a former RC Kadiogo coach, is expected to lead the side to their campaign.
