Jesualdo Ferreira’s men have extended their winning streak to six games, getting a step closer to their bid for a second consecutive league title.

However, Zamalek coach Jesualdo Ferreira said that his team still have tough mission to win the title despite the nine-point lead over third placed Ahly.

Zamalek are in the driving seat of the Egyptian Premier League table with 63 points, four ahead of Pyramids FC and nine points ahead of Ahly who have played two games less with seven games yet to play.

We still have seven games before the end of the league. And they will be difficult games for Zamalek.” The 76-year-old Portuguese coach added.

The White Knights are scheduled to face a tough test against second placed Pyramids FC in the 28th matchday of the Egyptian Premier League on Monday.

The game against Pyramids FC will be an important match for the two teams. But we are still waiting for Ahly’s results in their postponed games.” The Zamalek coach said.

It is difficult to be assured of winning the league title [even] if we defeat Pyramids FC next week.” Jesualdo Ferreira said.
