These games are a warm-up for the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, when the USWNT will attempt to win its third consecutive championship and fifth overall.

The USWNT hasn’t played in the District since losing to France 3-0 in the SheBelieves Cup at RFK Stadium in March 2017, and this will be their first game at Audi Field, which opened in 2018. Overall, this will be the USWNT’s eighth game in the nation’s capital.

The USWNT just won its ninth overall and most recent CONCACAF Women’s title last month.

The Golden Ball, or top performer in the competition, went to Alex Morgan.

USWNT will compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris thanks to the victory.

Although they did not win a medal at WAFCON 2022, Nigeria has won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 11 times.

They have also participated in three Summer Olympics since 2000 and have appeared in every Women’s World Cup since it began in 1991.

They are regarded as the continent of Africa’s most successful women’s team.
